Just received word that we won the proposal that TTZ Friends of Reservoirs submitted for Lake Austin habitat restoration. We asked for the max amount of $20,000, and this will be coming forward in 2016. TPWD and the COA both were involved in helping us put together this proposal, and we couldn't of done it without them. Specifically Marcos and his team at TPWD, they were a huge help. More news to follow, but out of the hundreds of proposals for these grants they only select a very small handful (like 4 or 5 a year). So for us to get this federal grant it's a pretty big deal, I'm excited and I hope we can get a lot of habitat projects going with these funds.

Thanks guys the proposal covers a lot of things, vegetation cages, fish habitat, etc. Lots of money from the COA and TPWD as well, but the federal grant will help.

Nice work John. You and TTZ put a lot of effort towards the fishing in this city, and there's a lot of us who appreciate it.

Hey good news, I received an email from the federal government and the paperwork is being submitted now for this payment. They said it would probably be June 2016, and that's what it ended up being.

Woohoo, more news to come, let's put this money to work on Lake Austin!!!!!!
