Fish are in there.
Oh my. Oh my my my my my.
how deep is it on the edge?
Rossy and I spent all day out there on Saturday. Its the best I have seen the lake look since probably 08. Grass is everywhere, and there are all kinds. Duckweed, hyacinths, American pondweed, some weird leafy looking stuff I have never seen, and chingos of hydrilla. Beautiful stuff, and the lake looks to have come up 2-3 feet , not as much as I had heard. The Thursday Nighters Championship is going to be a shootout.
The hydrilla is so thick in some spots, my 1 ounce jig would not penetrate. Had to swap out to a 1 1/4 ounce texas rig to get through it. Glad I held onto my two good punchin sticks, they should be getting some good use on the 22nd.
I predict 25-26 lbs to win it, and 18+ if you want a shot at getting some moolah.
I am sure the grass is everywhere, but what part of the lake did you take those pics?
If that doesn't make your jimmies swell, I don't know what does.
Pic was taken on north east side of lake. Bigger fish are not in the grass, it seems. I got a call from a friend yesterday who had just caught a 9. It didnt come from the grass.
I have been staying in the deep water as I always seem to do, maybe it's why I have not made much of a showing this year. I did fish a small tourney this past Sunday and took 4th all on back of back up water, would have won if I didn't try and swing a 4 pounder in. Teach me to for get the net
