In order to qualify for the championship, you must finish in the TOP 100 of the AOY Standings.

Points are accumulated individually, so anglers may fish with multiple co-anglers or no co-angler if they so choose. With an increased guaranteed payback (to be announced soon) and small field, you'll want to make sure you're eligible for this one.

Daniel Rodriguez and David Jara take over the top spot of the AOY Standings

AOY Champions will again receive comp'd entries into the 2017 TTZ Central Trail.

If the Thursday Nighter was on Monday or Tuesday night of this week, it would have taken close to 30lbs to win. The fish are on the chew on Dunlap. Tomorrow they will probably be in a food coma.

If you are in the Dunlap neighborhood tonight around 10, come by the weigh in and help us drink some Miller Lite. We've had way way to much the last few weeks and have been giving away cases of it. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Congrats guys.

One of these days I need someone to win me one of these things. I've been playing the law of averages for the last 4 years, but apparently there is a lot more skill required to win one of these with the caliber of angler that fish them.

Your time will come. I hate to say it but we'll have to party when you win your first Thursday Nighter. It'll be so soon I am going to make plans now.

Uh yeah, I've won Big Bass 4 times so there's that. Of those 4 times I caught 1 of them. Heck, you count for one of those 4 too.

Dunlap seems off from the weights. You think it lost some fish in the floods last year?

It was just a bad night. I know it's like apples and oranges but Georgetown was on fire Sunday and Wednesday last week and then it got tough Thursday. I imagine they'll shine again. No need to worry! :)

They were on Monday and Tuesday, but those fish are trained night to bite on Thursday I guess.

To answer Trey's question, I dont know. It is fishing tougher than it has the last couple of years but I still hear of some big sacks or a double digit coming out of there ever so often. We had some big floods a few years ago and Dunlap caught fire shortly after and lots of big fish were being caught. Something different this time I guess.

I will mention there are now striper in there, or at least more of them. I've never caught one in that lake and it's been pretty rare for anyone to catch one over the last 5- 6 years, but now people are catching them with more regularity. Especially on the upper end of the lake.

Actually for all you striper fisherman, there are big striper at the first big bend by the Marriot if heading down from the I-35 ramp. From there to the hump under the powerlines right by the first island. Go load up on them things. At night there is a green light on the right, they are in there thick.

Striper are in there for sure, but with all the damned bait in Dunlap I think it might actually help having em in there.

Remember last year after the flood, there would be 1/2 acre pods of baitfish all over the lake? Couldn't hardly buy a bite, as the bass would just sit there with their mouths open.

Could be the extreme fishing pressure combined with the striper? Maybe they are all under docks now hiding?
