I have always wanted to fish the bridge pilings on Lady Bird Lake to see if any crappie are suspended along them. Just picked up a new optima blue top battery for the troller so I could have enough power to fish and get me back to the ramp. Fished from 12-1:30 and tried all the deep water pilings with no success. The rain was coming down hard but I was nice and dry under the bridge. Also Drifted some jigs a few cranks off the bottom through deeper 25 foot of water back to the ramp with no success.

I am sure there are some fat slabs in Lady Bird and never see any posts on crappie fishing there. Might try it again this summer just for the heck of it.

Has anyone else caught any crappie on LBL?
