Fished a four day weekend about 4/5 miles upstream from the last mile marker of Amistad.

Caught decent numbers, but mostly small sized Black Bass. My go-to on the Rio is the Strike King, KVD, Ocho Worm, Amistad Special. It proved irreplaceable this trip.

Cat fishermen of our group were also disappointed with the size of their catches this trip. Baited, mostly, with live Perch.

Still, we caught enough to have our obligatory Saturday night fish fry. Damn! Fresh fish tastes great!

No complaints here. Did a little 'calling,' shot targets, drank copious amounts of beer, caught-up, spit in the fire, slept under the stars, etc... Getting out like that with buds is always a great venture!

    Getcha some!
